SARAH DROUIN
Born in Texas, but a Maine girl at heart. Architecture has always had a presence in my life; from the first time I held one end a tape measure on a job site for my architect mom to the buildings I crafted out of Legos. I gained an early appreciation for art and architecture as I traveled extensively around the United States and Europe. We always joked that it wasn't a family vacation without a visit to at least one art museum, cathedral, mansion, or national park. Highlights include national park hopping from San Fransisco to Seattle in a VW Vanagon and exploring Germany, Austria, and Italy with a Eurail pass.
While studying for my Bachelors of Architecture at the University of Maine at Augusta, I've worked 30 hours a week in the distribution warehouses for L.L.Bean, carefully managing both school and work. I've also been deeply involved with scouting for years, first as a Girl Scout and camp counselor, and then as an architectural intern designing a new 20,000 s.f. dining hall for Pine Tree Boy Scout Council. Going forward in architecture, I'm primarily interested in project management.
